What would you do with an open forum to share your original work or that of your favorite author?    For this program, YOU are the presenter.  Poems, short stories, or songs may be shared.  There will be refreshments to wet your whistle and keep up your energy level.  You provide the creativity.

Natalie Daise “Becoming Harriet Tubman”

Harriet TubmanNatalie Daise returns to Piccolo Spoleto in historic downtown Charleston, SC with her original one-woman dramatic performance “Becoming Harriet Tubman.”

The 60-minute show explores the life of Tubman as she transformed from a seemingly insignificant little girl, former slave-turned abolitionist, Union spy and conductor of the Underground Railroad.

The program in the  LANCE HALL, 150 MEETING ST., THE CIRCULAR CHURCH is scheduled for May 24 and June 7 at 8 pm and May 31 at 6 pm.

Tickets are online. $18 adult/$16 student or senior.

The Liars Competition @ the BIG Story Fest is an esteemed gathering of those who shoot the breeze with the greatest of ease.Lies are good natured tall tales (either fictional or embellished truth). Some examples include “golf lies,” “used car lies,” “political lies,” “fishing lies” and many more. Lies must be a minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes.

Green Herring Hosts Art Show

Green Herring Art & Framing at the Green Fish Gallery in Beaufort, SC will host Jan Spencer and Natalie Daise in a special exhibit opening with a reception March 15. The show opening from 6 pm – 9 pm is business casual dress. The public is invited to meet the artists on Saturday March 16  from 2 pm – 7 pm. For details call 843.379.1122.

Among the diverse art, see Jan’s signature piece, beautifully framed at Green Herring, “they joined hands,” and Natalie’s “Nothing is too wonderful” cabinet.
