Andreann Geise's barbecue recipe was the winner leading her to the Ultimate Recipe Showdown hosted by Guy Fieri in September 2009. Next she won the Great Taste Challenge sponsored by Santa Margherita at the Bon Appetite Supper Club in New York. That led to a recent adventure in the California restaurant Firenze Osteria with Chef Fabio Viviani and co-owner Jacopo Falleni.
She and her recipes have been featured in Cooking Light, Savor, Family Circle, and South Carolina Woman magazines as well as on recipe cards of Santa Margherita. An amateur chef, earning fame for her home cooking, she is no amateur to the judges or in front of a camera. She does live cooking demonstrations for special culinary events.
Her Mediterranean/French Fusion recipes incorporate her love of French sauces, her family's Greek heritage, some southern touches with local fresh product and her passion for cooking with spirits.
She presented a demonstration on Celebrity Stage at the Taste! Gourmet Trade Show & Expo in Myrtle Beach SC, in 2010 showcasing her noted original recipe of Blushing She Crab Soup with a Twist. Also, she presented a hands-on class in the Just-4-Kidz Tent and presented again on Celebrity Stage. She also joined Chef Aaron McCargo, Jr. at the Taste! event in judging the finals of the Barbecue Competition among the top 10 pit masters selected by the South Carolina Barbecue Association.
